something you can use

Hey Reader

Since I’m officially back, I wanted to send something you can actually use.

I am all about staying in the metaphor to give students psychological distance so they can feel safe enough to share, feel heard and gain mastery over their own experiences and feelings.

Feelings in metaphor is a great way to do a check-in with students. Sometimes a feeling face just isn't quite enough.

Most of my mini training series will include detailed information and examples about how to stay in metaphor with students.

If you try the metaphorical check-in, or have feedback for me about the resource, hit reply and tell me how it went (even a one-liner). I love hearing what lands well, or not!

Over the next few weeks I’ll also be sharing details about my new set of short trainings I created for school counselors—each one comes with a ready-to-use resource so you can take the training and apply it right away.

More soon,
Patti

P.P.S. Send this resource to your colleagues and get them to sign up for this newsletter. That way we can all learn and share ideas!
